Add inflation, currency devaluation, and tariffs on top of that, and don't expect prices to be going back down again any time quickly unless someone develops cheaper layering technology or the fab production increases substantially enough to lower wafer prices.
I read an interesting comment questioning if some NAND producers could be in trouble. Companies like Kioxia and SanDisk (I think) don't have as many other products to fall back on like Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix (which also make DRAM, among other things). I hope they don't get driven out of business or forced to merge.
I wouldn't be surprised if SSD prices begin to rise again, in the not too distant future.
