Thanks for the feedback on it - shared it because it did really well when it was previously $2 less.

That said, one of the most powerful tools on SD is that all deals are voted on by the community. Please vote on it however you feel

I don't even get two-day shipping from Amazon anymore. They say it'll happen in two days and then deliver in 4-5. Only when I absolutely need something in the two day window and complain to them do they actually deliver it in two days.

That's why you don't listen to the "Keep holding! Prices are only going to go down!" crowd. A lot of people think they can see the future.
The market has a saying for those people. Bears get fat bulls get fat but pigs get slaughtered

Why are hard drives so expensive now, I miss 2 years ago. lol
I went crazy when those deals were live. Got like 5 1tb Western Digital SSDs for like $30 each. Upgraded my laptop, my wife's laptop, my parents computer, and still have a few lying around for emergencies.

Micro center had a bunch of 512 SSDs for like $15 and I made those my game drives, lol. We will NEVER see prices that good for quality SSDs again. 😭

If you are already running Windows 11 24H2 (or are planning to upgrade), be sure to check your firmware: https://support-en.sandisk.com/ap...a_id/51469 I updated the firmware and needed to reboot (it doesn't tell you this) and was able ot get the Windows Update to install manually. It seems to be running fine.

yeah, overall they both do more seen & unseen harm to the retail landscape then any other vendor in america. convenience keeps people going. evidently googling confirmed what i said.

"Amazon's primary harm to retail overall is the significant disruption it causes to traditional brick-and-mortar stores by driving a large portion of shopping online, often at the expense of smaller retailers, due to its vast product selection, competitive pricing, and convenient delivery options, which can lead to store closures and job losses, particularly for businesses that struggle to adapt to the "Amazon Effect.".

"Walmart's primary harm to the retail industry lies in its ability to drive down prices through its massive scale, often forcing smaller retailers out of business due to their inability to compete on price, leading to a decrease in local retail diversity and potentially putting downward pressure on wages for retail workers across the market due to its reputation for lower pay."

The pricing is ok, but I've seen better. Wondering if this SSD is DRAM'less.

For anyone interested in picking this up, Tom's Hardware did a solid review on it. In for 1!
TL;DR Not amazing for gaming, but still a good SSD for its value (especially on a sale).
