I bought two of these combos a few years back. One was on clearance for $99.00. The string will chop up the bottom of the guard at the base of the spool housing. Use a stainless steel hose clamp to extend the life of the tool. The blower is weak. It doesn't blow away the edger's trimmings nor wet leaves very well. My neighbor's 20V DeWalt does a better job. The 40V and higher blowers will also perform better.

Got the trimmer last year and it's already broken. Also was a pita to use every single time due to the little button to release more string. Drove me nuts. Kind of happy it finally fell apart.
