Was 1000 last year whe I picked it up. 1 year older and more money, not quite ready yet. Would buy 2 more at 950. Great laptop IMO.

I was able to snag an open box for $915 2 week ago. It was listed as fair condition, but upon checking the box, everything looks like new. Very happy with this laptop. 16GB RAM is limiting, but again - RTX4060 is also not a beast. As a portable multimedia laptop with light gaming in mind, this is more than enough. Very good build quality and great speakers and screen.

I'd instantly replace my 2022 model for this if it had 32GB of RAM (needed for work). I guess the wait continues.

Hate that they made these soldered ram now. At least the older models you could swap out one stick easily

The question was rhetorical. Asus could have added a bit more memory if it was going to be soldered for another $50 and passed on the cost. 16gb isn't going to be enough for more than a 20-30 browser tabs these days. I need 50 open at the same time and 16gb just struggles if I launch zoom.

I just picked mine up for $800 second hand and it was well worth it.
I wonder if anyone knows how to solder on more RAM.
I tried downloading more, but you can only download DDR4 Frown

Downloading RAM only works if you defrag your WiFi first.

I cancelled my Legion 5 Slim 8845HS/4060 for this. It was stuck on "waiting to be shipped" so I finally gave up. I wanted something smaller anyway and the G14 has been lauded by users and reviewers as basically the gaming laptop that captures most of the Mac build quality. I don't mind the $1100 price tag. It will do what I need it to for a few years.
