This or the $499 Acer Nitro V at microcenter?
Intel Core i5 13th Gen 13420H 1.5GHz Processor; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB GDDR6; 16GB DDR5 RAM; 512GB Solid State Drive https://www.microcenter.com/produ...dian-black
Tom's Hardware doesn't like this laptop with Intel processors because of overzealous cooling tricks. Maybe Ryzen CPUs run cooler (?). Also, maybe 15% of the BB reviews (sorted Most Recent) have peeps getting BSODs.
I've known Acer to be cheap (OK, "affordable"), but also have poor build quality. For example, my wife's Acer 24" 1080p IPS LCD, the power button doesn't work anymore... it stays on all the time, the case is separating from the LCD --- BUT, it still works. I've also purchased refurbished Predator LCDs from them successfully.
I am in the market for a new laptop, but am hesitant for this one, at $600.

it looks like for $100 you're getting a slightly better graphics card on this deal.

The 4050 on this is significantly better than the 3050.
Even in lower wattage laptop configuration, the 4050 right now is one of the best budget cards out there. Really the only downside is 6g of memory instead of 8.
