Anker power strips have a cTUVus certification.

The cTUVus mark is officially recognized as an equivalent and direct replacement of the UL and CSA marks. UL is both a US standards body and a laboratory. National Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) like TÜV Rheinland can test to the same standards and specifications as those defined by UL as US standards. Our cTUVus certification is got from TÜV Rheinland.

This is a myth. Unless you want to find us a lawsuit by a criuise ship company as a reference.

Lack of a completely voluntary certification is not grounds for what you are describing. This is misinformation.

Not UL listed. Dont buy power strips or any electric related stuff without certification.

Also 300J surge protection is tiny.
Anker uses ETL certification most of the time, but I don't even see that on the page. Agreed that the surge protection is probably worthless at 300J.

At $10/each, there are probably better options out there that are simply travel power strips and don't claim to be surge protectors.

I'd agree if this had more USB-C ports, if you're traveling do you really want to bring a bunch of power adapters?

I have a phone, iPad, and watch. Sometimes I need to unplug an ac device to plug the power strip in.

Yes this and very big this. You cannot use this in most hotels, Airbnb, and all cruise ships. If you use this and there is a fire you'll be responsible. If you use this at home and there is a fire your insurance company may not pay for damages. Thanks for pointing this out.

I have 3 of these and have been happy, though it would be nicer with one more usb-c port. I use them as extension cords/power strips, not surge protectors given the weak surge protection.

One thing to note: they come with a 3M double-sided sticky pad that's easy to miss in the packaging. I used them to mount two in the sides of my bed frame. One of them fell off eventually and I had to replace with something stronger (I used 3M dual-lock tape).

UL is bought and paid for certification.

It's worth as much as BBB accreditation and bound to become further stunted by the clown car that just rolled in.

Anyone using it as a standard measure is not to be taken seriously.

Does this provide super fast charging on Samsung devices via the USB port?

Depends upon what you believe is "fast charging". At 20W (that's 4 amp), that's only marginally better than your standard USB charger's. Definitely not enough power for a PD USB-C port. Typically, you want something that is 40W or higher.

PD USB-C starts at 18W.
