You are correct. They only have the regular express and express impress at stores.
I agree. I've never seen a Touch model in a Marshalls or Home Goods store.

No. They have faulty electrical outlet. Also, don't let the wand contact jug if u use auto frothing. Get from Bloomingdales u will have 90 days return window
I'm not sure this statement is entirely accurate. I've heard the claims of faulty outlets (perhaps made by Breville employees), but I bought this machine shortly after it was released, and my unit had the much discussed shut down problem. It shut down every second or third drink. The unit was replaced under warranty (the initial replacement immediately leaked water everywhere and that too was replaced), but the new unit has performed flawlessly and has not shut down once in over a year of daily operation. Additionally, I was an electrician in the Navy and so I'm reasonably capable of testing an electrical outlet.

I bought this machine to replace a Saeco super automatic and am very happy with it. The total effort to make drinks and maintain the machine is about the same, but the drinks are much better with the Breville. It is also more flexible in terms of drinks it can make using any type of milk product whereas I think the super auto might struggle with some non-dairy products (Oat Milk as an example) since the frothing was not engineered for that and is not adjustable. With this machine, I don't think I would ever go back to a super auto.

OP, plz fix the Crate & Barrel link, it goes to the the Touch model (not Impress) which has the same price (not on sale) as the Impress now. I actually followed the link and made the purchase, didn't realize it until after order was confirmed, but fortunately I was able to contact cs to cancel it.
If anyone wants the unique almond nougat color, C&B is the only place u can pre-order it at this price right now.

Check your local Marshall, HomeGoods and TJ max, you might find some at 50% off. YMMV.
you will not find this model at any of those stores. they don't carry this one. also, $1000 is pretty close to half price, so even if they did carry it, it would not be any cheaper

Great deal. Bought ours during BF 2023. Pro tips: The 'intelligent' grind can be turned off in settings, then it reverts to a preset grind time in seconds (e.g. 23 seconds). This ensures consistency and lets you make subtle adjustments once familiar with process. Use single wall doubleshot basket, Preheat portafilter, wipe dry, grind, tamp twice, brew (suggest selecting increased water amount from default to get 1.5oz shots), set brew temp to +2 or +3 above default; for latte art use whole milk +6 foam, 160 degrees. Favorite value subscription is Intelligentsia black cat "analog" variety - about $17 bag freshly delivered every 2 weeks.

Reviews stating that the machine shuts off while frothing. some may the machine restarts on its own. Anyone here experienced this ?
i bought one of these 2 years ago, never had any issues. we use ours 2-4 times a day. my dad has one too, no issue either.

having said that, in my personal experience, people who do have this problem with ANY high power device and make this complaint usually have a problem with their brain, not any decide. the frother uses a lot of power. i and a lot of people don't understand that in the US, a typical 110V circuit is limited to about 1600W. they will connect their fridge, coffee machine, toaster, etc on the same line and overload it. i've seen people connect similar devices to circuit breakers and those alexa wifi switches that can't handle the power draw. some people also have fancy breakers in their fuse box that turn themselves back on after an overload, which adds to the user's confusion.

while i'm 100% sure that there are some defective units in the wild, anytime someone asked me to look into a situation like that, the issue was always that the person didn't understand that outlets don't provide unlimited power.

For those with a Capital One account, their online shopping portal has 6% cashback at Macy's and 10% cashback at PC Richard's. Macy's has more locations so easier to return if you don't like it. They also have a less restrictive return policy for those not sure they will keep it after trying.
I only see 1% from end. How did you get the 10%?

Target also has it for $999. I found a Target Circle offer in my account for 10% off one item until March 1st. Brings it down to $899

It was when posted 2 days ago. Might've gone down. Macy's went up to 7% yesterday.

Looks like e waste. Would buy if didn't have touch screen. To much electronics. Analog will last years and this price not worth it. 500 maybe. Reviews seem to indicate what I suspect, error issues which is to be expected with electronics. Shame as that milk frother looks pretty good.

The Best Buy link is also wrong and needs to be fixed. We received only the "touch" model, not the impress. Now I have to do the return/rebuy charade because of this bad BB link.
