update: yep, works! there was no clearance sign, but at register showed up as $127, this was Jersey City, NJ . Also, 1TB rung up as $80 (i did not buy)

ok, it shows there's one in stock near me, online shows normal price. will try to swing by and see if it shows up as clearance in person. will update if i have a chance to go

Thank you OP, this is a great deal! Just picked up the 2TB model in so cal for 127 which was a pleasant surprise since it's the first time I have been able to get a staples ymmv deal.

Just picked one up in SoCal and can confirm the sale price is $127 even though it was marked at full price on the store shelf and online.

I got one pricematch with Best Buy in store with the OP image added to this post. Please see it's $167 at Best Buy, so it was not difficult for them to match with Staples.

Just grabbed it from a Michigan Staples for $127. Now I just need a quick trip back to MicroCenter tomorrow to return the one I bought for $167 yesterday.

Was able to get this deal in Phoenix, AZ. Online showed full price, but I picked a store that had 6 in stock. In store, the tag on the shelf was printed 11/2023 for $219, register price was $127.

Yes Metro Detroit! Clawson, Michigan (but got the only one they had in stock). I live in Sterling Heights. The Rochester store had 1 earlier. Check the website and find who in the area has it.

Clawson is my closest one. Was also looking at Rochester but they all close at 8pm so no luck today. Might try looking tomorrow morning though

Had one fail after 9tb written, random disconnects. Second one only works in high performance mode or disconnects
