If you buy 4 of these, you can trigger the multibuy promotion for $10 off. Which will bring it to about $31.48 for 4 after 15% S&S.

What's the shelf life of this stuff? It would take years for me to use it up ... and I mean YEARS!

Fabric softener, unopened, should last 2-3 years. Opened, one year.

Where do you get this info? How do you differentiate opened and unopened? Are there seals to these that make the shelf life different?

Downy site says 12month shelf life.

If each bottle advertises 190 loads, giving a margin of error of 40 loads (being super generous), then it would take nearly 14 months per bottle: 52 weeks (assuming you only do laundry once a week) x 2.5 loads (whites, colors, the occasional linens).

If you buy into the 2-3 year unopened shelf life, then this could be a good deal that'll get you through about 6 years or more. Imagine not having to worry about buying something for that long? $34 seems worth it

This stuff coagulates and becomes unuasable after a year or so, buying 4 would mean throwing away at least 2...

Don't have to throw it out. You can diluted in hot water, shake and you can use it again.
I wouldn't buy this deal though knowing that I will go through the effort to dilute it.

Beware of thick clumby Downey. Supposedly there is a shelf life of 12 months and temperature / age will cause it. You can call PG for a refund.

Comes out to $42 for me after sales tax. Probably still worth it but not enough to buy 4 right now and having to deal with keeping it fresh

What is the savings of $7.78 You have on your calculation on line 7 marked subscribe & save. No such savings on Amazon web page for this product with the buy 4 deal, only the 20% off for the subscribe & save savings. ????? The lowest I can get is $36.50 before tax & not the $34.25 advertised on this site.

I have bought several bottles of Downy at various times and from different places to stockpile. I have never had it get "clumpy" or coagulate, unless it was frozen from being in my car trunk in winter…that was my own fault. Just my two cents.
