Dewalt used to make a non-XR but still brushless 6.5" circular saw. This one appears to be brushed. I would pass and look for a brushless version.

Agree. Lowe's sells bosch brushless circular saw for around $100, even the Profactor version. There IS noticeable difference between bushed and brushless saws.

Can you tell me what the difference is? Does it last longer or cut smoother? Genuine question, I don't know why the pref for brushless

Because you get 30% more battery life from brushless and never have to replace brushes, never have that motor smell.

I replaced all the brushes in my dolphin pool cleaner, showed my gen z cousins how to do solder while doing it, and all they could say was "when are we ever gonna need to know how to do this?"
