A week to decide and considering it. The XC version is online for another $100 which is interesting because XC was cheaper of the two bikes in the past. The XC pre-sale price is $500 higher.
The trail version is the only one online that has the "may be available in warehouse" note so I was hoping to get one there for maybe a couple hundred less but my warehouse doesn't see any coming in.
These were significantly cheaper straight from Intense a week ago. I know that doesn't help anyone now, and if you need a bike *today*, sure go for it - but they may come back down if the price is the biggest draw for you. Huge YMMV.
The SlickDeals thread only covered the gravel bike, but I saw the Trail and XC bikes were also lowered and was tempted to grab one for my wife - I don't recall exact prices or I'd list them here.
For some reason the SlickDeals post also only mentioned the 'new' gravel bikes, which were marked down to $1500 and open box (1399 I think) - but refurbished units were available in several sizes at 1099/1199 (1x and 2x). That was the real temptation for me personally, at least.
There have been too many better sales directly from Intense to jump on this one. I know they were previous models. I'd wait for one of those deals or when Costco start to clear them. Last year they dropped down to 1k in store

I'd love to see a receipt on that one. Unicorn manager markdown if it happened I'd wager.
Agree with the comments above. Got the XC last year for $1800 and have been very happy with it. Haven't had any issues taking it on moderate trails in Colorado. Will be taking it to Moab in a month to really put it through its paces!

For the gravel?
Certainly not believing the trail or xc were without proof. Doesn't seem like any other person noticed on SD or any website.
They don't even carry intense bikes in a couple dozen Costco around me or several other locations so I'm sol for in store

Slick rock trail in moab will put it to the test, the climbs are ridiculous. Need a dropper post for the steep downhill bombs
I got the XC from Costco last time on that $1800 deal, which was a great price. And YES they did update/upgrade the suspension on that model, which is why it's more expensive now. They previously spec'd them with Fox suspension (Rhythm fork up front, which is an OEM-only fork but not a bad choice). The XC bike now has a RockShox SID fork and SID shock, which is a pricey upgrade. Everything else appears to be the same spec, though.
$2500 ain't too bad, but I'm happier with my $1800 rig. My first upgrade, when it comes time, will be a lighter wheelset.

FYI, XC version for $2500: https://www.costco.com/intense-95...36479.html
And the obligatory gravel bike for $2000: https://www.costco.com/intense-95...30137.html
It looks like this deal last year was $2000 for the trail bike and $1800 for the XC. Not sure if the builds changed: https://slickdeals.net/f/17316943-costco-members-intense-all-road-bikes-951-gravel-bike-1x-sram-or-951-gravel-bike-1500-more-free-shipping
