Just FYI, if you give these to kids, they can seriously burn themselves if they touch the lens. I have two of these and they get extremely hot at the magnifying lens end and I learned the hard way. And don't set them down turned on face down. They will burn whatever you put it on. (again, learned that the hard way).

I am wondering if this one also can take 18650 recharable battery instead of 3 AAA battery.
I have a few 18650 batteries. The description does mention that it can take " a single rechargeable battery", but didn't mention the size .

Thanks for the warning!

In for this deal - you cannot have enough flashlights! I love the fact that they come with lanyards as I usually hang flashlights in areas I am usually needing them in, like the basement, attic, garage, office, etc. I will also use neodymium magnets to attach them to, for example, a metal lamp column in my office so they're always where I need them. I have a split level house with 5 levels so having multiple cheap flashlights stored in different areas eliminates the time spent in remembering where I last left a flashlight and trudging up and down the stairs to fetch it.

This is everyday pricing at Aliexpress but still a good deal for prime shipping and easy returns
Especially considering recent customs delays.

I' don't know why anyone would give you neg for that but thanks for sharing and it is definitely a consideration and concern for high power lights.

For anyone gets these and if they do not have a lockout function that disables unintentional turn on I advise to unscrew the tailcap so that batteries do not make contact. That is critical if you are going to keep it in bag, backpack purse, drawer glovebox, etc. You will know if you have it on your person. If these do not have lockout there are options for lights that have that do but you will pay more.

I was just cleaning my desk and discovered my large mouse/keyboard pad melted and stuck to the desk. I realized I had let my single AA very small and moderately powered light stand on it lens down while on. If a single AA can do that imagine what a 18650 or there AA can do. They can and do cause fire and bad burns.

If that lesson involves third degree burns or a house burning down and your kids or other family dead maybe a warning about reasonable safety considerations shouldn't be so casually dismissed like it is meaningless. Do hope you are not a gun or car owner.

To have strobe and SOS in the cycle is so annoying.

I got these free with purchase of 18650 batteries (to pass shipping laws), and didn't mind their weaker output compared to a decent 18650 flashlight, but that cycle bothered me so much I stopped using these. YMMV.

He would also for catty guys dropping snark and insults and worrying about what other guys are doing in a topic and for product that does not interest them at all. I was looking for some lights for the kids. The very bizarre, weird, stange, neurotic and almost psychopathic thing is what exactly are you up to and doing here? You paint a very clear yet weird picture of yourself with that one comment. There is depths of dark and weird to investigate below it for those that know anything about psychology. You display a petty nasty narcissistic above it all attitude that most of the world's serial killers displayed. Something is just is percolating up out of you that you can not control. You feel some need to belittle others you know nothing about and must feel very small inside at a some fundamental level. So small that you have to rudely insert yourself and thoughts like they have importance into a conversation about flashlights that do not interest you. You feel people need to know what you think, even though is totally irrelevant to the subject at hand, like you are the center of the universe and some important player on the world's stage. You are not even sane or rational enough to see and realize that psychology applies to you as well while you display clear and obvious signs of a broken self and soul. You take other people much more natural and mentally healthy innocence as something dark and do not see the dark in you. You bully and shame and think yourself a hero, witty and smart while acting like a Nelson Muntz. This is all very interesting but maybe we should keep it a little lighter and focus on figuring out of this is deal or not.
do you need a glass of water?

Almost got away with not buying more flashlights until it said it atkes 18650's im in. Can't get no $2.5 flashlights often now esp LED with 18650 support. Anyone got any info on the LED, lumen output? It's been a long time since supfire clones for $3 and those are plenty bright for me.
