Which others have you tried? Other gel pens in particular since ballpoint and rollerball are just different.

I was really curious after seeing "refillable" - I did not know that was even a thing for cheap pens like this.
If I'm looking at my search results correctly though, the "refills" are basically a whole inside replacement of the pen for practically the same price as a brand new one?

I agree with the previous comment (though I usually prefer the 5mm ones) and this is a great deal on these. I also like the Sharpie ballpoints or if you prefer pens with caps the Precise V7 pens, all are about the same cost when at full price.

I've refilled cheaper pens. I like the thin clicker bics with the pocket clip, I used to find gel replacements.

I don't think it's about preferring caps, rollerball ink just tends to need it not to dry out but they do have v7 retractable for instance.

Understood, but for me it's actually the form factor which is why I mentioned it. For work I usually use retractables like these but if I am going to have a pen in my shirt or jacket pocket I want a capped pen since the tip is up and capped.
