Much shorter game but very lively characters. They all have memorable quirks that makes RF3 still the favorite for many.

My experience was you start with a big farm which is nice but swinging your weapon in combat takes energy so it was hard to balance farm and combat early on. Probably a good thing because if you could progress through the dungeons right away like RF4 it would be over too quickly.

Plants will not grow out of season so a cool trick is to plant cheap, out of season seeds and then hoe the weeds the next day to boost soil quality easily.

5 is not lousy. It's still one of the better life sims, and runs way better on PC.
