Can't decide whether or not to pull the trigger on this. I've got the Neo G8 but I do not like the curve or the bulk. Idk whether to stay with the G8, or go with this Asus or the 321urx. Also looming additional tariffs kinda pushing me to consider the upgrade.

I have this monitor (from Amazon) for productivity / general use. Absolutely beautiful monitor. I found that I get the best brightness with the 240Hz refresh over HDMI. With DisplayPort, it works, but at 240Hz, it's a bit dimmer than on HDMI. 120Hz on DP is perfect also. I run a Windows PC with 3080 GPU and a Mac Mini M4, both via HDMI. Both work well. Firmware upgrade to MCM108 is mandatory to get it working correctly.
Display port 1.4… 322urx will be that price or lower by Black Friday don't fall for the tariff bs being pushed in the media to help companies raise their prices and not be held accountable. They could discount us if they wanted to or just stop outsourcing even better. Your dollar is the only vote that counts.

How is a companies 25% increase in cost to import something and passing all or a portion of that on to the price of the product in the form of higher prices "bs"? Do you even own a business?

I mean, these tariffs are coming straight from the mouth of the man imposing them so I'm not inclined to believe it's bs. Price increases are inevitable as these tariffs go into effect. Companies still have to maintain their margins to remain profitable. Sure, it sucks, but that's the nature of what's happening. I don't disagree with speaking with your wallet, but given the economic uncertainty my struggle is in determining if this is a worthy change from the Neo G8. Personally, I'm not all that concerned with DP 2.1 at the moment. DSC isn't that much of deal breaker for me.

Who's to say the consumer will pay 25% more? The company can charge whatever they want, doesn't mean people will pay the new price. These OLED monitors average 77% profit margin. They can afford a 25% hit. What they can't afford is not selling any product. This is a discretionary product. No one needs it. Guarantee these prices don't jump 25% in two months.

That is the nature of the tariff. The cost of the tariff is passed to the consumer. The entire point of a for profit business is to make a profit. If costs go up, net income is going to decrease, and shareholders don't like that so money moves out. How does a company avoid this? By raising prices to account for the tariff. How would you like it if your cost of living increased by 25%? Would you just say oh well? Or would you try and offset the increase in costs? Companies aren't some pay-it-forward all loving entity. They exist to make money. Be prepared for the increase, but hope things remain the same, at minimum. Hell MSI is essentially selling the same monitor (322 vs 321) for $400 more dollars right now.

Try reading what I wrote, particularly the "all or a portion of that..."
I didn't say prices would definitely jump 25%.

Very good response. People don't realize, too, that it's 2nd nature for companies to raise prices and then keep them high, even after the incident that caused the raise has passed. Not to get political, but certain people LOVE to blame current high prices on the previous administration, but completely forget that these companies have profit over our interests as their primary concern and have zero reason to lower prices as long as we keep paying.

Exactly. Companies have no incentive to lower prices. If people are paying they'll continue to do so. I hope we'll stop at some point, and make a correction, but we haven't gotten there yet. The current 5000 series launch is a great example.
