The Tencel one is definitely softer and more plush. The cotton one is a rougher thin material.

Damn, i just bought these towels for $10/set a few days ago. These are really good towels for the money. Soft and have held up well. No shedding, holes, or discoloration (I have both blue and silver). I've been using them for a couple of years now. At Ross, it's just like $5-$6 for just a single bath towel.

Are these actually good at drying you off? I bought some Mainstays 100% cotton towels a while back and I have no idea how they made cotton hydrophobic. Pat or drag, it's near-impossible to get dry with the things.

These are actually nice towels. They don't start snagging threads or get runs like cheap towels. They're similar to the stylewell towels via Home Depot.

Those are 2" shorter per towel vs. the towel set in this deal. Cotton & Tencel Lyocell is softer than 100% cotton.
