Don't forget to download after purchasing while you still can. Feature is still available and could be shut down at any moment.

Edit: feature is gone. RIP

Good price. I read this book years ago online before ebooks existed. I have almost all his books on my kindle.

A feature is being deprecated by Amazon that allowed you to download and keep a file of the book on your other devices. It's a feature that I assume most users don't utilize but is somewhat important in a time of "You don't own content you buy" anymore, since eventually all content licenses will expire and you will inevitably lose access to things you bought over time. We are fully in the "subscribe to and rent your content" era.

Ohhhh. I didn't think about that. I "download" all my books in the sense they're ready to read, but if for any reason I turn on WiFi to grab another book and that WiFi-on unknowingly allows Amazon to pull my books off my device....that's not cool.
Thanks for sharing.

In these days of DRM it has become ubiquitous. In most places if you hit "buy" you are renting a license of the item from the distributor. Amazon Kindle store is not different.

In fact, when you hit buy on the Kindle store, the first policy you agree is:
"Kindle Content is licensed, not sold, to you by the Content Provider."

And? That has been the case since day one.
