Definitely a "why not" type of purchase. If nothing else a couple of inexpensive beaters to have on hand. Also, you can add multiple knives listed and put in the code and it brings each of them down to $19.99 without placing multiple orders.

I think one reason why not is at least an Amazon brand has user reviews you can check out, this seems to be a FS exclusive or just that obscure to get any information.

D2 is pretty sensitive to heat treatment. I have a few of the Walmart knives, and I honestly don't care if the edge is overheated, because I can eventually grind through it if it even comes to that ... which it won't, because I use fixed blades and utility knives for everything.

I am a confirmed buyer and big fan of these knives.
This is not a "why not" purchase but is a good return on $20.
My friend is a knife maker and he has bought these repeatedly at this price point, and tells people that they are far better than the equivalent Gerber, SW, and some other popular brands that produce a low end knife.
These come razor sharp out of the package and are made solidly with a quick action and easy close.
I am a reliable source and confirmed multi buy owner.

This deal is total BS. MSRP at $100 on these is ridiculous. AUS-8 on this knife with probably make it worth around $10-20. D2 - maybe $15-25 in the current market.

Where do you find D2 knives for $19.99?

Pretty much any site that sells knives. I probably have at least 50 knives in D2, and paid $20 or less for most of them from reputable brands.

ff someone is new to knives, D2 isn't an ideal to start with. It's fairly hard steel, which makes it harder for beginners to sharpen. Also semi-stainless so more prone to rust than other budget steels.

Why not? Because you save even more money for something better.
