Awesome deal, Im still running my Alienware Aurora R7 with liquid cooling from like 2018. Upgraded from a GTX1080 to a RTX3070. Not a single issue with this PC. I run it for about 8+ hours a day and often max out the CPU and GPU from gaming yet ive never had an issue with overheating even when my office was 90+ degrees

Does anyone know who makes the liquid cooling? I had an Alienware R12 and it was a Corsair H60 with an Alienware lighted logo.
This one doesn't have liquid cooling. From my past research though the manufacturer doesn't really matter as liquid cooling has come a long way in recent years and all of them are considered pretty good and should last as long as air cooling and still basically be maintenance free.

I know this one doesn't but I'm considering springing the extra $90 after coupon for the water cooling.

I would consider it. I like the look and with modern liquid cooling there is very little risk at all. I don't know that you can tell the manufacturer beforehand as Dell builds their PCs with bins of parts when they don't have their own solution so it could be any of their partner manufacturers with the Alienware custom logo on front.

Would upgrading to 5090 a better deal? Considering the 12% cb and the 10% new customer offer.
You can't upgrade this to a 5090.

Am I reading the return policy accurately that customized products cannot be returned? This would apply to this desktop as well i assume if equipped with a 5080.

5080 was the star of that show. It's hard to walk into a store and buy one, so they're making you buy stuff you don't want to get one. So in the end you'd have a 5080 plus like a very average pc to pawn or sell off

No, you aren't customizing this, you are selecting options of different pre builds. I understand "customize" is also the word they used to describe the choosing of the components, but I don't think that is what is meant under the return policy.

Customized would mean you had your name or company logo etched into the glass or similar.

Yes, for a cheaper price
Obviously you don't play modded VR games. It's needed.

Man, I was putting a list together for 9800x3d and 5080 all white build. The cost is climbing upward to 4.5k. This literally half the price but not as nice looking. Decision decision
This is considerably higher, but might interest you. https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/syst...aster-9500

I bought this. I've been happy with Aurora in the past. I've been happy with HP Omen 30L in the past. I'm not too picky.

Does anyone know what extra HDD slots are available. I am going to need more than 1TB so I'd like to find an extra 4TB or extra 2TB NVMe for this.....it says it has two NVMe slots, but any more info on that?

Also, the DDR5 16MB memory is going to be upgraded by me. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your responses.

I am not able to get 96GB. Was thinking 32GB or 64GB.

How does this Patriot Viper DDR5 seem for this.

Or this 2TB MSI NVMe hard drive

Are these decent value choices?

w 16GB RAM? IDK....

Even the Cyberpower 7800X3D w 4070 Super deal for $1430 a few months back had 32GB DDR5...

This looks like Dell taking advantage of the 5080 situation by using cheaper components instead of raising the price outright.
