Awesome deal, Im still running my Alienware Aurora R7 with liquid cooling from like 2018. Upgraded from a GTX1080 to a RTX3070. Not a single issue with this PC. I run it for about 8+ hours a day and often max out the CPU and GPU from gaming yet ive never had an issue with overheating even when my office was 90+ degrees

No, you don't. You don't even need to use the backplate since the screw holes are already there.

I tried upgrading the cpu from the 265F to the 265K to see if it would allow overclocking of RAM (since for some reason the only way to buy overclocked ram from dell directly was if you upgraded the cpu to a K variant). I can confirm it added a new section in performance of the bios to overclock, BUT now when I try to boot it says "unsupported CPU please restore 65W CPU." Unbelievable how much Alienware locks these computers down.

Once I put the original CPU back in I also had the issue of it just showing the Alienware screen. Try clearing CMOS.

Talk about crazy good fulfillment timeline from Dell-- ordered late Friday 3/14 and it is arriving tomorrow 3/21 in the AM via FedEx.

Already ordered expanded memory (32Gx2) and a Gen5 2tb NVME for storage. Will probably also order the CPU cooler recommended on here to round out my at-home upgrades.
