Big initial deposit required, but banks paying 4.3% on savings typically do not pay sign-up bonuses. Getting both a good rate and SUB is nice, and unusual.

No direct deposit games - nice. Finally, a bank that doesn't care where the money comes from.

The risk here is that you have to keep $5k in for 60-90 days to get the 4.3%, but CIT can lower the rate in that timeframe. However, CIT has historically had good rates on this account for quite a while - not at the very top of what is available, but certainly within shooting distance of the top. I would expect them to remain competitive.

For an existing CIT account holder, do we receive any email that confirms our enrollment?
After successful enrollment, it said a confirmation email was coming my way, but none so far.

Also, is there any tracker to check progress online?

Once your account is created, is there somewhere that shows the $300 offer? Under offers it says I don't have any at this time

Rate dropped significantly already, even with no Fed Rate change.

Is this available for existing Platinum saving customer to create second Platinum saving account??
According to the terms, it sounds like you can.... however the new funds must come from an outside source. You cannot use your existing Platinum funds to the new Platinum account.
Something to keep in mind - Opening a new account will start you at 4.10%, which is prob lower than your existing Platinum account's APY.

Liveoakbank is $300 on $20k after 60 days and 4.3%.
You can get another bonus if it's another promo and you open another sub-acct
Thanks for the tip. I did it, will go with cit once live oak bank's requirements are met and if cit promo still working.

We go through this every single time -- I guess no one at CIT bank ever reads these threads as they might update their language. It is NOT what you described. I have an account and have had one for years. Once you hit $5k, the entire account is at the higher interest rate.
Thanks for clarifying.

Oh heck keep churning the liveoak sub-accts if the promo expectedly gets renewed again.
New promo dates, sub-acct, and ensure it's a fully fresh ext xfer.
Terms call out that it can't be an inner-xfer is certainly worth noting.

At least that's how I read doctor of credit comments about how to churn em.

My scenario should it help-
12/19 I had $20k
2/26 xferred $20k out as that ensures I was past 60 days
3/7 $300 promo applied and also pulled out.
Left that acct empty

Spawned another account under new promo on 2/26
2/27 $20k xfer

Way better promos than this one out there overall.

Few to name a few, especially if you have easy to update direct deposits-
SoFi
Chime
Help yourself past those ticklers.

It's overwhelming, but pay attention to the table of contents and the best categories

I've been pretty happy with my savings account. Transfer from my checking at Chase reflects usually next business day. I tried to transfer money out of Cit Bank and they gave me an offer of 4.75% APY for 12 months and I took it. Well, not exactly guaranteed, but I think it's a guaranteed bump of .333% apr.
Just tried a transfer and got an offer at 4.5%/12 months. Odd thing is I had a similar offer doing the same thing from less than a year ago and I'm pretty sure the rate dropped.
