Be sure to research T-Mobile's locking policy and the fine print of the agreement. Basically you are locking yourself and the phone for 2 years with absolutely no way to unlock it, you can't pay off early, and you will be stuck with T-Mobile for years or you lose the bill credits.

See previous threads here on T-Mobile. They have become really consumer unfriendly in the last couple of years.
1) To check if your plan qualifies, log in and see if you have the promotion... verify by submitting your trade-in phone estimate. It's common sense. YES, most likely Simple Choice plan will qualify for this.

2) Phone cannot be cracked in the screen and no moisture/water damage. Also, cannot have destroyed pixels and dead spots. The back of the phone can have some wear & tear and cracks.

3) Best deal is to buy a Samsung S10 from eBay for your trade-in. This promotion will probably last another two weeks based on what they are saying from the subreddit.

4) You can get $100 Costco cashcard for being a Costco member. You can call or in-store. I've done both. I would probably call as it was quicker and just as simple. You also don't need to bring the phone with you. Just an IMEI. Just make sure the phone you are submitting qualifies or else you're going to be in a heap of trouble submitting the IMEI of a phone that might come cracked, etc.,

5) You can ship your trade-in phone or bring it in to a T-Mobile corporate store. Just tell them you have a phone to trade in... They will do basic checks and automatically approve your phone for trade-in on the spot. Saves you the hassle of UPS losing your trade-in phone during shipment.

Most of these questions have been asked... Just look at the old T-Mobile thread from two weeks ago.
Sprint would have free new iPhones with trade-ins with same 2 year commitment. T-Mobile also a few years back. This, their best offer, plain sucks!

This is different where more plans qualify. Ex being ONE plan qualifies for this. It did not for the valentine one.

All these phones qualified then as well, except it was advertised for go5G. I found out that older plans were eligible, just less credit ($500 vs $830) and posted that there.

Yes, you can still get $100 Costco gift card if you upgrade it at Costco.

Thank you for the input! Was able to call that 833 number and spent a long time having a conversation with the rep. I ended up getting the 16pro 1tb (please don't judge) and had to pay down payment and tax which total $423 😱. At the end, the rep sent a link for the Costco gift card and code for it. I tried to do it while the rep was on the phone, but wasn't able to complete it. The rep said I'll have to do it after the phone comes. Hopefully that'll work out. Trading in my iPhone 11 Pro and getting $100 next billing cycle and then $400 split thru 24month bill credit.

Does this sound alright? I've been with sprint for 25 years now and never bought a phone thru them since the iPhone 6s.

I think they have.
I did that same thing a few years ago. However, my latest bill credit deal they told me I'd lose the bill credits if I paid it off early.
My guess is it's to keep people from doing it just to resell.
Yes, this is the only problem with getting new T-Mobile promos. As was mentioned in a previous post there's no temporary unlock for iPhones with monthly credits. I tried when we were overseas during Christmas and had to pay off the phone to get it unlock. Luckily the old promo didn't stipulate that credit ends when the phone is paid off. This makes it hard to get any new phones from T-Mobile that have monthly credit promos.

The other thing people under the older plans have to take into consideration is whether they'll offer the same trade-in values again w/o adding new lines. In hindsight I should've waited a year before upgrading my old 12's since I only got $300 for them but they would not be unlocked until two years later.

For whatever reason that phone number for me just goes to a message saying call back later. I have called different times of day, from different numbers and no go. Was an easy process in store though.

16E has Apple's c1 modem vs all other 16s have regular Qualcomm model. We don't know performance of C1 yet. I would wait until it's released and people use it for a month or two.

Extra $150 Costco gift card if done via Costco. They also have sync trackers for free and $1 plan.

I'm tempted to do this with my 13 pro max, but also wondering if it's worth being patient for the 17 pro max. $500 seems kinda like a meh trade in offer when I could sell this for close to that. I really want to get off of lightning chargers and finally use usb-c for everything. How are T-Mobile's trade in offers for new iPhones typically? Comparable to this?

Thats crazy…why would you ever trade in the 13 pro max??

Buy a $100 samsung s10e and sell 13PM privately - you would be $400 better off. Even apple gives you trade in of $350 for a 13 pro max

No-one should be trading in a phone worth more than $100 for this

I have an iPhone 12 and I didn't even want to let that go.
Bought cheap 10e's on Ebay
I personally wouldn't trade anything above a 13

Did you have to actually put the s10e on the line with the upgrade? Or were able to just keep the 14 pro max on the line until you sold it?

There is no requirement to have the phone on the line- any phone can be traded in
