Still the best game Ubisoft has made in 30yrs.
Gameplay is solid and fun. Story is okay. But the dialogue is mostly cringe and awful. At least Ubisoft finally added achievements on Steam. It only took their company to reach financial collapse to incentivize them.
Agreed. It is your typical Ubisoft grindfest as a far as the rinse & repeat exploration mechanics are concerned, but it feels a lot better in this game. I owe that to the flying and more fantasy elements, I suppose.

There is more variety and thought behind the shrine puzzles in this game compared to both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. I was surprised by the physics mechanics and thought they worked well, even if this was clearly an attempt to be somewhat of a clone of BotW.

Would probably be in my top 50 games ever if it had a story I cared about, but the voice acting is incredibly annoying and 25% through I began to completely ignore it.

I also agree about the story about 25% after that most of the game just is repeating very similar tasks. Was extremely bored after finishing it.

really neat game, was a little puzzle-heavy for me. I found myself having to look up how to pass certain areas a lot and finally lost interest
. But really enjoyed it up to that point.

Between the cash shop and super formulaic Ubisoft nonsense (look at map, find bunch of puzzles on the way to main objective, do puzzles, do main objective, rinse repeat) even though the combat is ok I got bored within a few hours. And the dialog is really bad. It's no wonder they've been trying to give this game away for years.

I completely agree and disagree at the same time Wink

I didn't think combat was too bad or good but there is no point to it, you don't earn any resources or XP (if memory serves) so there is little reason to engage in it (mostly) outside of boss fights.

I liked the puzzles, the first 5 minutes of figuring them out. The next 30-45 minutes of moving blocks to satisfy the puzzle was never fun...especially when you drop a piece off the side of the map. Luckily most of the dungeons were optional so I ended up skipping most of them (you do forgo upgrade points by doing this)

Personally I liked the dialogue, it was cheesy and I think it was meant to be. Like old school Disney Aladdin.

The entire spying to find the hidden stuff was completely stupid to me. Either tell me where POI's are or make me find them, this weird middle step seems like a complete waste of time...in an attempt to save time. There should be a menu option to turn them on by default if someone wants to know where they are.

The platforming (air dashing parts) were terrible and I hated every second of those.

All that being said I still played the game for 50 hours so $4 seems like a no brainer.

First played this after, coincidentally, having just gone from BOTW to AC: Odyssey so I enjoyed the mix of vibes there. That said, I burned out on a second playthrough and didn't finish the DLC as it can certainly feel grindy and pointless at times. You will absolutely get at least $4 worth of fun out of it though so thumbs up from me.

It's a fun game that definitely took some inspiration from BotW. The story and dialogue isn't anything special, but it has a decently sized world to explore with a ton of puzzles if that's your thing. It unfortunately suffers from the usual Ubisoft bloat, but it's not nearly as bad as some of their other games. It's worth playing for a few bucks.

The cringe is part of the charm to me. In fact I think it's done that way on purpose as part of the humor. At least it seems that way.

Achievements I absolutely do not care about. I wish Ubisoft spent their time on something else. But hey I guess I'm in the minority on that lol.

For me, I feel the open world part of the game is gorgeous. The puzzles can be fun and the combat is pretty good too. I like the game overall and have it on both switch and PC (yes it offers cross save! It's a bit clunky but it works)

The 'dungeon' aspect of it (comparable to BotW and TotK's shrines) get kind of repetitive. But you push through anyway because the reward is often better than what you get from Zelda shrines.

Overall it's 100% worth $4. This isn't a shovelware game and is one in your long game library that you might actually play.

Gonna go ahead and get the deluxe version. I just hope there aren't any issues with Steam and Ubisoft launchers working together.
