Worst shoe Merrill makes. Front of shoe bends upward uncomfortably. I paid twice this price and threw them away. And I love the brand.

Have to respectfully disagree with the previous poster's review. I love these things. They're great river shoes and they're probably the most comfortable sandle-adjacent shoes I've ever worn. I also respect how they lean into being absolutely hideous. Lol. They look like the official footwear of the town of Innsmouth.

These seem to run a little large. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11, but these fit perfect in a 10.

Here's my warning for anyone willing to listen - the high heel guard is going to ANNIHALATE you within an hour of walking. It's exacerbated if you're walking in wet conditions. Ask me how I know.

These were $15 not that long ago, maybe 18 months. Money grubbing thieves, these companies.

These seem to run a little small. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11, but these fit perfect in a 10.
Yep. Love mine, too. Actually like them so much that I grabbed a pair of the lined ones during a winter sale.

I have them, they're nice. But I can only use them in 4 wheel drive. I get the blisters on my ankles

These are bad beach shoes. The sand can't escape; because of the heal design. I rather wear Crocs.

Real bad for beach because the sand gets trapped. Wore them 5 minutes and carried them home.
Ok for kayak and rivers.
Still a flawed design. Wouldn't buy again.

I have these and they are fine for light use. I wouldn't go hiking or plan some big outing in them as my only option but they are fine to wear kayaking or getting a little wet. I always wear mine with the heel strap flipped up so I never had any issues rubbing my heel (and they stay on better than crocs). I thought they were annoying to put on at first but I started to just slide my foot in (crushing the molded heel) and then using my other foot to bend the back half down till the heel pops up in to place.
I paid a little less than this in 2022. I would buy these over crocs since these are more shaped for my size 13 foot; crocs, I swear, just scale their same proportions as they get longer.

river shoes? Nope. With all those holes they will let dirt, gravel, sand in and not easy to get out. Same issue with crocs. That and fugly.

100% agree. That's why I cut the heel guard down. If you do cut them down, do a little bit at a time to find the most comfortable and supportive height. Don't be like me and cut them all the way down on the first cut.
