I played it on Ubisoft+, but I didn't finish it. It's not bad, but feels kind of plain. Lots of the "content" is just finding collectibles from what I saw. It gets the feeling of the original Star Wars movies right as far as the environments and sound effects, so it has that going for it.
It's a Ubisoft game, at the end of the day. Serviceable, but too afraid of offending anyone and trying to appeal to everyone, to really allow it to have its own identity. Once the Star Wars theme park feeling wears off, there isn't a very fun game underneath, in my opinion. You'd likely get your fill of it just paying for a month of Ubisoft+. If you don't want to do that, I'd wait a while longer until it hits $20, probably around Black Friday.

If you haven't played Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor those are much better games if you're looking for a good modern Star Wars game.

This game is not terrible, but it's also not great either. Basically just mid, and If you never play it you aren't going to be missing much either.

If you do play it, it can be entertaining enough to play through if you like Star Wars. There was a big update months after the game release to fix a lot of problems at launch. One of them includes removing the "force stealth" mechanic on some parts of the game.

So now instead of the level resetting every time you get spotted in a certain area, you can just blast away and throw the stealth approach out the window.

That helped address one of the frustrating parts of the game when it launched and made it more enjoyable to play if you want to play through for the story.

Below $40 now it's easier to recommend than the $70 launch price, but I can easily see this game being $20-$30 by the end of the year. If you aren't in a rush to play, or have a backlog to finish. Just wait for a deeper sale, you aren't missing anything ground breaking that makes you need to play this now.

I picked it up for $29 (PC Richard PM) - $10 BB reward and I'll say it's good for $30 and great for $20. It's a game I look at as being a time wasting game where I can choose to do a bunch of side quests or I can chip away at the main story.

It has more RPG elements than I expected. Upgrading abilities, weapons, vehicles - buying, selling, trading items. I like that your decisions affect the story and how you can sway your standing with each syndicate/faction.

I do think a lot of the side missions are copy+paste, but the main storyline has you all over the galaxy and meeting new people on different worlds.

Beware: the melee is nowhere near as smooth as Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor, but this game is more about stealth tactics anyways.

Did the main story and after that the side missions get to be very repetitive, especially since stealth is involved, nonetheless it captures the star wars world very well. Aside that the game in itself is mediocre in comparison with the old giants like Kotor, Jesu unleashed, etc. The SW franchise nowadays is a skeleton of its former self unfortunately.

Good open world Ubisoft title, people hate on it, but if you're a fan of the formula and Star Wars you'll enjoy it. Nothing ground breaking here, but a lot of exploration and a decent storyline that really picks up on the back end.

Tempting, as a fan of these kind of games but not necessarily Star Wars, think I'll pass in favor of the new AC, which they seem to have invested a lot more time refining and comes out on the 20th

If I wanted to buy some Disney-branded grindfest of a game, I'd have picked up the remake of that old Mickey Mouse thing.

Not really a good game. Doesn't have the same interactive mechanics and moral dilemma choices of games like this in the past such as Mass Effect, Fallout, BG series, older Elder Scrolls games and so forth. It's a theme park on rails game that tries to pretend to be an open world sandbox. You can't steal from whomever you want. Can't attack who you want. You are forced into the narrative of the story without any real branches for player choice. So many games before it have done that and games these days are being lazy. So not worth the triple A price tag if it can't deliver triple A mechanics that have around for decades.

Lol I got this for free with my GPU when I built my new PC. Not even worth installing.
