I have this and enjoyed it quite a bit for about 3 years. The insulated carafe is not the highest performing, but the coffee stays at a drinkable temperature for about 1.5-2 hours. After that, you might want to reheat, if that's your thing. In days I wanted the coffee to last, I transfered it to a vacuum insulated glass carafe and it's good for about 5-6 hours. Now I'm more about espresso so mine doesn't get used, and in fact, I put it in storage recently. But unlike most of such things, it's not bound for donation. I'll use it during holidays and when I want drip coffee.

Excellent coffee maker. It's about as good as it gets for drip.

For those wondering if this is a deal, it is. Also, when it does go on discount it floats commonly around $200 +_ a few bucks. Great drip machine

I don't know if it's relevant but when I looked up SCA coffee makers, these were right on top

Got the KBGT to replace my leaky Bonavita during Thanksgiving. It's been great. Felt a little fiddly at first with the lids and stuff, but have gotten used to it. It certainly makes great coffee.

While you're at, pick up some Cafiza powder or tabs. I ran some through all the parts that coffee touches recently and it helped restore everything to almost new again.

This brand just came on my radar due to a test of drip coffee makers that American Test Kitchen did. This was their winner (brand anyway, I don't yet know the different models they make).
ATK has a few vids on drip coffee makers on their YT site, explaining why they like this brand so much. Go check 'em out if undecided. Good stuff!

I bought the regular carafe before Christmas. After years of a leaky Bonavita and then two years of pour-over, I have got myself to a happy place with the following qualifications:

It does not wet the grounds evenly. Accept that you must hold a spoon under the first drippings and get the far side wet and then I get the grounds a little stir. 15 seconds of effort with night and day results. (from my prepurchase research I knew of this issue).

The bar that transfers the hot water stays wet and over time is going to get cruddy. It is cheap and even with filtered water is going to need regular vinegar soaks. Just something I'm not doing yet but....

With that said, and while I miss the zen of my pour-overs, this is a good way to go.

They have updated the carafe to a glass liner that stays hot for many hours and does not alter the taste from stainless or burning the coffee on a heated plate. Performs great and highly recommend this model.

Beware that the carafes will eventually lose their vacuum and then they stop insulating. Average life span for a different model for me is 4 years and replacement cost is $80. Over the course of the product lifetime the anticipated cost to replace the carafe is greater than the cost of the initial product.

If you think about it, the MM is basically an automated pour over. It literally has the same cone, drip control and temp control, except the water bar is doing the pouring over instead of your hand.

The one caveat someone else noted is that it obviously does not swirl the water distribution, which is easily remedied with a quick stir with a spoon by hand while brewing. Nbd. Especially with the efficiency gained with not having to manually setup the pour over and separate kettle.
