My previous Denon refurb has hdmi pass through issues. Pain to send back for repairs. I'm staying away from Denon refurbs. Just my personal experience hope you all have a better one! Nice receiver otherwise

Hasnt this been new at this price ( or below) before?

I would not pay this for a refurb and then there is that $400 ish extra for the Dirac license and mic

Needs to be $200-300 less than this as a refurb, IMO

Lowest was $900,that sale lasted hours.
That was over a year ago.
You are better off hoping for $1k, even that probably won't come back any time soon either.

With the advent of A1EVO, Dirac is no longer needed/a benefit!
For $20 you get all of Dirac benefits, it's a game changer!!!

I would suggest dealing with a business like Accessories 4 Less if buying refurbished etc. Much easier to talk to someone and prices are usually better.

FYI currently it's $1299, hasn't been near this price in awhile.
Electronicsexpo has it new for that same price with code.

It comes in periodically so you have to check every once in a while.

So a higher price for a refurb a year later makes even less sense

That $20.00 for the Dirac " benefits" is your opinion

Mine is more in line with the double blind testing done by published A/V professionals that speaks very differently

Much cheaper than $1299, $400+ less than what's currently available.

Actually not just my opinion, it's a vastly fast growing opinion!
I'm surprised you haven't noticed over on AVS, BIG thread over there!

People regularly recommend AVS as the place for best advice/opinions.
As a matter of fact many people say the people there are "experts"!

If so that's a better resource unless you know of some published A/V professionals that did a double blind test with it?

For anyone that might have been waiting for the 4800.
Looks like it is now available for $1499!
They usually do not last long!
