Cielo Blue is a lot more Orina Yellow, but still a good deal for Hoka under $100. My daughter will love them for the remaining 17 days that Hoka is trendy in middle school and goes right back to being a middle-aged parent status symbol. I take offense at my own comment.

I have this shoe, and it's about as minimalist as Hoka gets. I wasn't impressed with my first run in them, which was slow recovery, and thought about returning them. But then I wore them for a faster workout, and they felt terrific.

When my physical therapist advised increasing my cadence (strides per minute) for general injury reduction, I tried these on regular mileage run, and found they work perfectly for that purpose. In hindsight, it seems my initial issue with them was that they simply aren't as suited to my gait whenever I'm taking longer, heel-to-toe strides.

tl,dr: these are excellent shoes for running, especially for the price, although maybe not as great when heel-striking.
