Where do you guys put these
EVERYWHERE

Under every toilet tap, under every sink, behind the fridge where the water line is, next to the washing machine, in the attic in the drip pans, next to the dehumidifier, in the garage under the water heater. Literally every source of water in our house gets one. Put thrn on s folded up paper towel so if the leak oddly directly on it out will still catch out early

Another vote for these. Have the V1 and they've alerted me to several leaks that if left unattended would have been a disaster.

I also got a check for ~$50 from my homeowners for having these - worth a shot to check if you can get any credit.

Unless you do not leave in the house, don't you think you would notice a leak under a sink? The biggest problem is when you have a leak behind a wall or in a crawl space
Not necessarily. For example these recently detected a very very minor leak under one of our sinks that has pipes on an exterior wall. It only leaks when it's really cold out. And then stops linking once the pipes warm up again. So the water evaporates by the time we would have ever noticed. Not that we would have noticed anyway because the leak is in the back of the sink cabinet and we don't go in there that often. what likely would have happened is it gets stressed enough to the point where eventually it's a huge leak and then we have a huge water mess to clean up. but we were able to tighten it up sufficiently and put some extra plumbers tape on there so where it doesn't leak anymore

Is it worth it if I get it with the hub? Starting from scratch but this seems super interesting for me. Is there any cheap way to just get a hub? seems not worth it to get the 4 pack with the hub

So you need the gateway even for the app to send a notification of a leak? I'm just starting into home automation (or...slowly, been lazy to get things set up) and not sure if I should stick with this. I have a bunch of different apps right now and just started to use Home Assistant. Anyone know if it works with HA and if I need a Gateway to have notifications there?

I just installed 6 of these and a hub in my new house last week. Super simple and tested them with some water and worked great. Really good piece of mind for a small amount of $. In for 3 more for my mechanical room and under toilets.
Don't forget under the fridge if you have an ice maker

I have these and I don't get notifications on the phone. Close the app on your phones and see what happens if you trigger one. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't get notifications with this.

Anyone have experience with these in an attic? I have a couple extras that I was considering using in my ac condensation tray and near the chimney. Curious whether the temps and/or humidity would be a problem here in MA.

Yes I have 3 in the attic. 1 in each of my furnace pans and another in my water heater pan. Work just fine. No issues.

Can these sensors with hub integrate into Google home and tell if a leak is detected on it?

Could be a problem if a leak under the sink started while you are asleep
