Govee Home app has 5 LoRA sensors for $39.99
I think that's only with "G-coins". I see $52.99 if I hit the "Fresh Offer" in the Govee Home App🤷

I am new to these water leak sensors, so have a couple of questions:1. Do I need to get the WiFi Gateway, or just the sensors will work?2. How does the notifications work? Does it work with Alexa?3. Does it send notifications via text? I use prepaid service and change my service but port my number.Thanks.
Watch a few reviews on you tube for 1&2. As for #3, with the Gen 1 I have, it can send you a email alert. Most cell providers have an email to SMS gateway, so if my cell phone is 9871234567, the gateway is something like [email protected]

What's the practical use case for the v2's long range? My v1 with hub work just fine.

Can this hub connect with other Govee sensors, like the Bluetooth temperature/humidity sensors?

How does this product compare with the YoLink ecosystem? I'm all bought in to YoLink from previous deals 😅 would hate to have 2 apps for managing water sensors

My only complaint is that when they go low battery, they alert. Loudly. I've been woken up in the middle of the night by these a couple of times.

I installed these last year with an electronic water shutoff that automatically closes my main water ball valve in the basement if any of my 9 sensors trigger a water leak alert. I also get a text message alert.
The whole system came from amazon and cost me under $150.
You don't need any special smart home system to make this all work. You just need a couple apps on your phone.

This is the water shut off
https://www.amazon.com/Automatic-...B0CB3NZH19

Govee connect to the Govee Home app
The water shut off connects to the Smart Life app
To allow them to connect together you will need a free account with IFTTT.com. They have an applet there that will allow the sensor to trigger the shut off valve to close upon water detection.

The Govee sensors seem to require the Govee Home app to work, I would prefer to have Home Assistant or the Smart Life app control the shut off valve but I haven't yet figured that out yet.

Unless you do not leave in the house, don't you think you would notice a leak under a sink? The biggest problem is when you have a leak behind a wall or in a crawl space
Unless you check your water heater, sump pump, shut off valves, ejector pit, etc... Daily or even a few times a day, these will alert you instantly the second it detects moisture. So even if we aren't home, I can at the very least get a neighbor or family into our home to shut off the main until I can assess... I had an ejector pit check valve pop off and it leaked a small amount into an unfinished area of my basement. Alerted me instantly. I was able to address it immediately saving me tons and tons of headache. Vs it pumping for God knows how long before noticing

These are made to put under things that are visible or under a kitchen sink or the under a dishwasher. If you have a leak in the walls you have bigger problems. That's not what these are for. You can get a smart water heater or set up a special system that will test your water pressure and if there's a notice of anything different it can alert you if a possible leak you don't see.

Yes and no. Just add these to the ones you already have. If you need a lot more units this new version can have i think 100 on one hub and they work from farther distance.

Can these sensors with hub integrate into Google home and tell if a leak is detected on it?
Yes it does work with Google home and alexa.. can control other smart valves to automate water shutoff.

I assume these V3 new ones (which aren't for sale yet) use a non-replaceable battery to get extended 5y life (like maybe how most Tiles don't have replaceable batteries [minus the Pro]).
I think I'd prefer then V2 since those use triple AAA batteries.
