It's also tempting, but the amount of bad reviews of random black screens on Amazon and Samsung's websites prevent me from pulling the trigger here too.
It's probable vrr flicker which is inevitable in oleds and pc gamers aren't use to it.

I got this monitor about the same price last BF. It's a pretty good monitor. You need to use HDMI though if you want 4K because DP is not stable. The matte coating is extremely good -- I've never seen anything like it, no monitor comes close in the coating.
Agreed. I've had this while for a while. It's matte coating is excellent. I think it looks better than my LG C3 OLED TV. Definitely use HDMI cause DP is gonna flickered once every 45 mins or so, when I had it connected. Maybe they fixed DP in an update but I switched to HDMI and never looked back. I went through an LG OLED monitor and Dell QD OLED Ultrawide, this looked best of the bunch.

A "premium" monitor without an audio out, offering only HDMI ARC, is a dealbreaker for me. I want to connect not only my PC via DisplayPort, but also my PS5 and Switch, and I want to enjoy better sound (I have a pair of Edifier 1700BT speakers) when playing on consoles instead of relying on their crappy built-in speakers. I also don't want to buy an additional HDMI audio splitter after already paying that much for the monitor. There are better options out there with a 3.5mm jack output and 65W USB Type-C power delivery.
FYI you can put a USB DAC into these monitors and the audio will output through that

Can you tell me more about why you like the matte coating so much? I am looking for less matte like the past odyssey versions. Is this better than the LG ultragear oled for you?

Relatively speaking, in my current lighting environment, a non-matte screen coating cuts out about 60% of reflections (older LG OLED TV), a regular Gigabyte M32U matte coated screen cuts out about 75% of reflections, this Samsung matte coating cuts out 100% of reflections.

This should really be called a 32" Smart TV and not a monitor. Slow to boot. Never should have built in apps and 'smart' features. Bogs down the purpose of the device.
