This is the same as the 27 gallon Home Depot HDX Tote that I bought last month. Everyday price $9.98. Pretty decent quality. Small gripe is that the bottom of the lid drops down into the tote by about two inches taking up some of the storage capacity, but makes it a bit more rigid/ sturdy for stacking.

How are these lids compared to the Costco ones? I know the Home Depot and Lowes lids are way more fragile and thin.
This is the same as the Home Depot HDX line. Pretty good quality all around. I don't have concerns about the lid failing.

Basically there are (3) kinds yellow bins floating around out there and it's highly confusing to people

1) HDX. Sold at Home Depot only. Different dimensions, slightly taller, slightly shorter. Still 27 gallon. Diamond pattern lid. Can only stack with HDX.

2) Centrex-made "Commander" (used to be the standard one, sold at both Costco and Office Depot/Max, now sold at Lowes through their "Project Source" branding as Project Source Commander model), as well as Members Mark brand at Sam's Club Checkerboard pattern lid. 27 gallon. Can stack with each other, and #3 below.

3) Greenmade (now carried by Costco ,Office Depot/Max, Staples , Acehardwares , Tractor Supplies ) Diamond pattern lid. 27 gallon. Can stack with each other, and #2 above.

Office Depot sells greenmade and they do not stack with Home Depot hdx brand made by edge plastic. Please see my post above

They took off online order pickups??
I only see "sold in stores" in the description. Is there any way to see which stores carry stock?

My local Staples had this deal when you bought 3. I went there for an Amazon return and was given a $5 off $25 coupon on my receipt. $8.33 each.

OK.

I know as a ~200lb guy if I stand on a bin with the lid on it and the bin isn't full, it will crack. That said, that's not the design basis either.

I haven't exactly strength tested it in a scientific way but more so by going into the store and seeing how flexible the lid is. There's a big enough difference for me to go with the Costco version considering the price and to wait for the Costco one to go on sale. I also thought they were all the same until I saw comments on here pop up about the lid strength.

Costco and OfficeMax yellow/black bins are exactly the same - except for the label . Also Costco will have $1 off in April.

Greenmade lids are reinforced and much stronger than hdx (Home Depot ) or centrex ( Lowes /Sam's club ) made bins

Ah okay, so this deal is the same price as Costco when on sale. I usually prefer to support Costco when possible and it sounds like it'll go on sale next month. This deal would be good if it stacks with any other offers but I'm not seeing any on my credit cards.

How do you know it goes on sale next month?

If it goes on sale 3-4 times a year. It hasn't been on sale for January, February or March so if it keeps up a similar sale it should be April.
