The reviews are scary. Lots of problems with leaking oil and exploding pistons...but hey $50 to roll the dice so maybe 🤔

These are going to be like hen's teeth at $50. The ones near me mostly sold out by the time the price had dropped to $240, so $100 was virtually impossible to find…

I found this one few years ago for $80 on similar deals I have used for over 4 hrs per use once a year so around 4 times and no complains. If anyone cares to know.

Haha, you think this is junk and you own a Sunjoe? I'd back up 10 feet every time you start it...

Why are u even trying? People that make comments like that haven't tried hard enough and just like to complain.

These lower cost, consumer oriented gas powered engines are going to get a lot of those types of reviews. People are notoriously bad at maintaining them, and when a combustion engine doesn't get proper maintenance, they fail - sometimes spectacularly.

I owned this for a couple of years before upgrading. It's not terrible. It's not great. It's what you'd expect to get in the ~250-350 price range. Be mindful of the oil, use stabilized gas and change the plug, and you'll get decent service out of it. At this price point, it's a no-brainer.

At the moment there appear to be 2 in the entire country at $50. One in MA (about 500 miles away from me) and the other in CA. I'd describe that as rare enough that people shouldn't get their hopes up. Well done to anyone who can snag this, of course. The store just south of Buffalo, NY showing 23 in-stock at $100 is worth a look for those close enough...
