I bought a "refurbished" minisforum from this site a month ago, and last week it showed up loose in a box with no packaging/padding, and of course dead. Finally got an RMA this week. Not feeling great about whether I'm getting my money back.

About 20% faster multicore than N100/150 at only a slightly higher power draw (15W)

May not be cheaper than a brand new N100/150 by the time you add RAM and SSD, which new ones often include.

The M.2 slot in this model is SATA, not NVMe. Or it can take a 2.5" SATA SSD.

I almost bought the refurb UM250 a week ago ($85 after coupon) for 8GB/256GB and Windows 10 pre-installed. But decided against it because this platform is just too old.

If the UM250 option is still there, I think that's a better deal for $15 more. Unless you already have an M.2 SATA SSD in your possession and are planning to run Linux.

Mine also came with heavy wear and tear and without any packaging inside. It works but I might not take a gamble again

officially, no. The original Ryzen CPUs are not officially supported by Windows 11.
You can install Win11 with some hack, and it will work fine.

This is probably why Minisforum ships this unit with Win10 instead of the newer OS.

The UM250 was well-reviewed four years ago, so I don't think this is a bad deal for under $100.
