My old MX518 and G500 mice are still my favorite, but impractical for my laptops.
- This thing is super heavy.
- Not a fan of it using micro USB but not a deal breaker.
- Not a fan that is doesn't come with the USB dongle, but not a deal breaker.
- The scroll ghosting is horrible, had to train myself to keep the finger on the scroll button to avoid ghost scrolling.
- The ratchet and infinite scrolling aren't as good as other mice I have tried from Logitech.
- The smart scrolling feature doesn't work for me, ie. it is not smart enough.
- The way my palm rests on the mouse causes fatigue compared to the other Logitech mice I have used, I think it might be because of how heavy this thing is.
- The default sensitivity it comes with was not to my liking, had to install the Logitech software to change it unlike other mouse that have a built-in DPI button (not sure this can be done through windows or OS settings without installing Logitech's software).
- Liked the Gestures feature, getting used to it. Coming from models like the G604, G600, and EVGA X15, which have multiple buttons built-in that I mapped to different actions the gestures approach of the MS Master 2S feel like a nice alternative.
- Liked the buttons to switch between different PCs.
- Liked the side scroller.
Definitely wouldn't pay more than $20 for this mouse, and wouldn't recommend it or re-buy it. For the price I paid for it I'm ok with keeping it. Not sure if I should try the 3S version.
