I have this cooling my 13600k with just a single heatsink fan and 2 case fans. At stock it wasn't enough, but with a small undervolt I sit at an almost silent 33 at idle and still quiet 65 under full load. I also have a MERC 6700XT in the case.

the "Plus" variant with an extra fan for about $5.50 more seems like a good value too!

ID-COOLING SE-214-XT coolers are on sale as well ($17-22), with many style selections.

These work great for 65-105w tdp CPU's and can probably handle more. The dual fan version drops temps by around a degree or two, but generally speaking the single fan is fine.

Great fan that, for its price, really can't be beat. Bought to have a spare fan if I want to do a new build/if my cooler eventually kicks the bucket. Single fan is fine, at max load it's a 2 degree difference but notably louder. GamersNexus had a review on it a few years ago, relevant part of what that'd look like here, wattage was around 123 which is more than the 5700X3D but less than the 9800X3D:

Very good brand. I got the pa 120 se. Included thermal paste is good enough. It's keeping my 9950x under 60c at full loads, no OC though.

cheap and a good value, but also more of a entry level HSF these days (though still better than the CM Hyper 212 I was using for more than a decade.) Look to the Peerless Assassin or Phantom Spirit models (~$35) for more serious cooling. (Yes, twice the price, but even $35 isn't that much for good cooling compared to more expensive models.)

the 5 heatpipe thermalright is usually around 20 and does a significantly better job on single fan. these are great for lower watt cpu's, like 65-105w

EDIT: look at the burst assassin (ba120) or assassin king. noticeably better cooling and between 19 and 21 depending on what flavour of fan you want.

That's what I have. The thing is huge. I paid $32 for mine so that's a great price. EDIT: Disregard... I have the dual. I imagine the plus variant would be sufficient.

Good for AM5 9800? My AIO pump died 🥲 I think I'm done with AIO coolers.

I own two air coolers from the thermalright brand one is cooling my R9-5950X it's 39c idle and 60c under heavy loads. They make great air coolers and are excellently priced. If you're on the fence it's definitely worth it at this price.
