What's the deal with the random cracked screens? Seems like a good deal otherwise

Anyone know if Geek Squad protection covers cracked screen? Do you have to pay the $79 fee for each claim? Thanks!

I purchased this laptop last year during the Samsung's $300/iPad Mini 2 trade-in deal. I'm extremely happy with this machine, particularly with the screen, size, and battery life. Was hesitant to buy a Samsung laptop, but after I watched a handful of review videos I pulled the trigger

This is an open box, so obviously YMMV and might be in your best interest to buy the protection plan....

I actually got a decent open box Lenovo from them last month. I had two options for pick up stores and ordered both to see which was in better condition. One was actually not great and didn't have the charger but the other one was perfect. Had over 8 months left on the battery warranty and looked like new minus the box.

How much was it for that deal? I missed it but I remember it was slick.

Here's the post: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/973293

Looks like it was $672

edit: I'm not a "pass on this because it was previously cheaper for a rare sale" people. Providing it as reference

You may be confusing the non-pro version with this pro version:
pasted from the other post you referenced:

Samsung Galaxy Book4 360 2-In-1 Touchscreen Laptop $672.99
Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 2-In-1 3K AMOLED Laptop w/ S-Pen $1172.99

Wow. Ty for nicely pointing out my (big) error. I promise I'm not a n00b, just a huge oversight. That's what I get for going on SD during a long, boring, and unnecessary work conference call 😂

Quite an improvement 2nd Gen core Intel chips fwiw. Plus Gen 1 laptops are ALL on sale and Gen 2 are getting cheap fast. In other words. Not a fire deal

Why don't you finish that statement? Give us a reason by why... I buy tons of open bucks stuff there. I don't buy anything new from there if I can help it.

I just realized you were the OP of the other deal from last summer! You are definitely not a noob!! And getting this open box at 1/2 the price from last summer (new, directly from Samsung) seems to be good enough reward to play BB's open box lottery

How is the experience with Open Box Excellent items ? Is that "never buy anything openbox from best buy" usually for open box fair and good items ?

Thermal on the 4 is really bad, would recommend paying extra for the 5 or just wait a bit for the 5 to get lower.
