So many open box deals popping up today..... Best Buy must be clearing inventory after dismal earnings yesterday.

That's a good question. Do you wish to input signals from another device into this? I'm not up to date with the very latest info, but till just a few months ago, the general idea was that a dedicated PCI card was the better option for getting video input. You could technically add such a capture card through epgu, but this would be something that keeps rising cost. I am also aware that streaming does require VRAM, and in this case, the 16 gb shared ram might be a risk. I highly recommend you look this up on a dedicated forum or sub on reddit. Quite an expensive machine to gamble on for this feature.

yeah i was thinking of connecting a ps5/pc to this laptop using an elgato 4k x, then encoding using the intel arc

i tried searching for it but it seems most discussions are about the desktop gpus, so im not sure if the laptop versions are any different ...

So bummed I missed out on this.. This seems like such a solid rig, if one were to get a like-new one I think even at the new price it could be worth it.. tho definitely less sweet. I have this w/ OLED / 120Hz / VRR / i7-12400H / 12GB RAM / 512GB HD / 3.2 lb. and it's fantastic, I'd "upgrade" to this if I could get the initial price if for nothing else than save even more weight and get slightly longer battery life (tho it's already quite good on my 14X).

I got mine delivered on Thursday and it look like new. Not so much as a fingerprint on it. My HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14" has been with HP for repair for 6 weeks now (abysmal performance on HP's part) and I picked this up as a replacement. I think I may like this better.

Good to hear. I got the 14X microcenter deal and mine too looks and performs like new. I'm probably gonna keep it cuz there's absolutely nothing wrong with it and the i7-12400H actually outperforms this processor in most things. Would have paid almost double if this was still available at the original price just to have newer everything but a 3K 120Hz VRR OLED for $465 after tax is a fantastic deal in my book, and the thing is solid, kinda reminds me of old school ThinkPads. Gonna use the crap out of it, upgrading ram to 32GB and prolly drop a 2TB NVMe in it.

That seems like a good deal. For me, I was really after Lunar Lake for long battery life and also thin and light and this certainly fit the bill for me.
