The 200 nits rating may be with 100% white screen and 450 nits is with minimum white on the screen. OLED's get dimmer the more white there is. The peak 1000 nits is HDR and where only certain areas of the screen need extreme bright (like in movies).

the 200 nits brightness is keeping me from pulling the trigger on this one

HDMI 2.0 can't do VRR for consoles if you happen to want to hook up a PS5 or XSX. That's a deal breaker for me, as I have a PS5 hooked up to my OLED computer monitor with a HDMI 2.1 connection.
Works with HDMI 2.0 on Xbox Series X, but I didn't know it doesn't work on PS5. I agree that's a nice feature.

VRR over HDMI 2.0 was an AMD proprietary thing. You needed an AMD GPU and very specific models of monitors that had the support for the non-standard HDMI signal. For consoles, you MUST have a HDMI 2.1 port for VRR to work.

Thanks, yeah, the BenQ website explains it. I guess their monitors work with HDMI 2.0.
