Reviews mention batteries dead or dying very soon after purchase. Advertised is 36 months. Coin batteries are difficult to replace for many without torx screwdriver.

I'd be curious to know if the home button acts as an escape key when paired to a non-iOS device.

I have the universal version of the Keys-to-Go 2. I use it as a portable keyboard for work, travel, both android and iOS tablets and phones. It's lightweight, has a built-in cover, and slides into my backpack. Not a daily use. It's nice, but I also like these slim, small keyboards.

To other questions/comments. Battery life is variable with the 2 2032s. Off brand I go through them, just like my MS Designer Compact one. I think name brand, lithium batteries might get longer life. It does require the T5 to unscrew.
The universal does have an escape key (I assume the upper left key will work similar on non-iPad devices). With the Logitech Logi Options+ app you can map keys, so even that isn't an issue. I'm not thrilled with keyboards without at least home and end, so I usually map those.
