ST/TF/TW unlocks require a plan purchase. So you can no longer activate a new TF branded phone on an existing plan and get it unlocked. This is a new unlock policy since July 2024. The wording "This deal is good for existing straighttalk customers." is not entirely true if the idea is to unlock on an existing plan.

You can disable anything in Android with adb. Also realizing that most people don't know this but once you disable Device Pulse and Mobile Services on TF branded Androids, you will no longer get auto-installed bloatware. I disable these before connecting to WiFi.

Even as a "power user" I don't care about unlocking the bootloader if it takes 2 minutes to disable the two bloatware packages. I noticed that TF also stopped using the TF splash screen, at least on the midrange Androids, which gets rid of another reason to load the stock ROM.

It will unlock on day 61 after activation. It only requires initial service activation, no renewals needed. It should unlock automatically remotely when connected to wifi.

no, it's one month and not 3 months to get the phone. Total is $159.99 with plan. That's the port in price.
After paying $159.99 and using the phone for a month, you can port out and the phone will still be unlocked 6 months after activation? Do you need to put in a request or it'll automatically unlock?

Amazing deal man I'm tempted to get Mr Mobile's little clicks keyboard with it at this price. For 300 bucks you could have this thing and turn it into a de facto blackberry. And because the front screen doesn't need to be used on a digital keyboard ... I didn't think the clicks accessory made much sense on these mammoth phones like the iPhone 15 pro Max or whatever but it's almost two sensible on the flippables. It wasn't particularly interested in flips or the clicks keyboard but combination of these reduced prices makes me seriously want both. All of that said I do not need a new phone. The only way I could justify this would be if I sold some of my existing tech. I have too many toys as it is techwise
I just watched a youtube video with that setup and it looked sweet, especial ly the customizable buttons for gaming.

This is no longer true. Latest Tracfone moto phones will not allow you to disable device pulse with adb or by any other method. I bought a moto edge from Total off another deal a few months ago and that was the case.
Disable all app permissions and notifications, it's as good as gone

Phone is $99.99 with one month plan at Cricket Wireless with port in. Black or Orange color. 6 month unlock policy.
If I can ask, never done any Cricket deals. Do I only need one month of paid service for the phone to unlock in 6 months or paid service for the 6 months?
Also, does the port in need to be completed in a certain time frame, like 30 or 60 days?
Thanks

Bought it online from Walmart, was delivered the next day. The phone had straight talk branding around the box, but when I turned the phone on, I noticed a Visible app. I googled Visible 15 day trial and was activated in minutes without a credit card.

Does it mean you don't even have to purchase the service and just wait 60 days for it to be unlocked and use with your own provider?

Looks like $30 + $180 for 3 months of service on their website now.

BTW the appearance of Slickdeals just changed for me to the modern look, anyone know how to change it back to the old appearance?
are you using the mobile app? there's 2 app versions now. the old which shows the pages, and the new which has an endless scroll
