This seems like a great deal, especially w/ 32GB of RAM.
I wish I could find something like this w/ an x86 processor. I'm not opposed to ARM for most tasks, but I'm currently in College and it seems like a lot of the coursework has programs that will require an x86 processor.

Looks like it's sold out already. Kind of wish that Asus would get away from that useless tiny number pad and just center the keyboard like MacBooks.
Where do you see it being sold out apart from the two places already clearly mentioned in the post?

Can I just...add a graphics card to this? I'm a noob, but this looks pretty great spec-wise, except I'd want like a 4060 or something similar to handle mild levels of gaming.

It's a laptop. It has an ARM chip. Laptops almost never have expandability for GPUs and ARM ones never will.

Good to know, even if disappointing, thank you.

This one doesn't support external graphics card..

This is first generation release with Qualcomm custom CPU cores. Based on leaks it can have external gpu support with next gen x elite https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/s/fSAQ8W5Pvm

That would require Nvidia or AMD to write ARM drivers for the extremely niche use case of an external GPU. I do not see that as a realistic possibility.

eGPUs are a thing, you know...

To be fair, that's on Linux. Drivers for Nvidia or AMD graphics on Windows on ARM will be whole other thing entirely.

Yeah, but on a timescale of "ever", you don't think NVIDIA will ever get in the PC CPU game and that if some random YouTuber can do it, that a $2T company can't?

Spoilers: they already make ARM64 drivers: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/driv...ls/223429/

Hey, Nvidia may wind up making CPUs, who knows. But they will not support Qualcomm SOCs.
Those Linux drivers are for weird servers that are ARM based, not intended for consumer use. Any consumer use is solely incidental.
Just stop it. The X Elite/Plus will not work - under windows - with an eGPU. Yes, Nvidia makes Linux drivers (which are horrible - just ask Linux people) and does backport some gaming related bug fixes, but that's about it. Things barely, barely work in supported situations, let alone eGPU setups - something those drivers were never intended for.

I never suggested that this laptop would work with an eGPU nor was I the one who said "Laptops almost never have expandability for GPUs and ARM ones never will.". Even before Thunderbolt eGPUs were a thing, people were using ExpressCard to PCI-e adapters. And regarding modern day situations, people use NVMe slots for the PCIe lanes for an eGPU as well. Maybe you shouldn't talk in absolutes.
