I can only speak to my own experience. I have one of these I bought with a saw head a few years ago to saw some tree branches that were 20-25 feet high (paid much more than current pricing). It did the trick. You are correct that its reasonably weighty, and it bends some when you extend it out that far, but I'm really not sure that's avoidable on any such tool given it's purpose. Lighter weight materials might not hold up at a 30 foot extension. I can't image that it would break though, unless the user tried to extend it further than its designed to be used, and pulled off one of the telescoping segments
As far as quality is concerned, it seems pretty sturdy to me, and have had no issues. Reviews on Amazon seem to be overwhelmingly positive too. I was happy with it at the prior price, so this seems like a steal to me, which is why I posted it. Certainly the pricing history reflected on camel suggests these items have never been close to this price range.
I have the 6, 12, and 30 foot poles. I bought the 12 ft. pole and car wash brush from this 3rd party Amazon seller 2 weeks ago. I wanted the softer car wash brush to use on Leaf Guard gutters. I would never use this brush on a car. I also bought the medium bristle brush from them. If you buy the 30 ft. pole, leave about 6 inches inside each section to reduce the pressure on the pole. I also have the hard bristle brush. If you use it on the long pole, it's a bit too heavy to navigate when you extend the pole out to reach the top of a 2nd story. My 1st pole (30 footer), which I've had for years, came with a soft bristle brush which is handy for removing spider webs, etc. from the outside of my house. 2 of my poles came with dusters too. I paid full price for my 30 footer and it's been super helpful. Dang, I sound like a Doca addict!
I am curious too. Which carbon fiber pole to clean solar panels. Since there is a local guy charged $5 per panel plus $50 fuel/ service fees for solar panels cleaning. So 27 panels *5 plus the $50, I am looking at $185 all in. If I spend $185 on supplies, I can clean my solar panels twice a year.
Thx. Which brush would you recommend for cleaning solar panels,so it doesn't scratch up the panel? Thx
I'm not familiar with solar panels but maybe one of the window washing brushes would work. I bought the car wash brush to clean the face and top of my Leaf Guard gutters.
I've got a 12 footer that I thought I needed but never have used extended past 1st joint, as I'm six foot tall and can reach 12' with half extended. I Wash Rv roof and sides…I only needed a 6 footer pole
You'd be surprised how little difference it makes cleaning them for sunlight unless they're really covered with crud and they don't to get that way if your panels are roof mounted….ground mounted then yes…I use squeegee on mine

Shows still in stock for me, 50% off for the 30 foot. This is a great deal since I spent full price on just the pole, a few years earlier.
I still use it often to clean leaves and snow from my roof. It is a bit heavy and more difficult to swing around when fully extended, but it can still do the job and as a bonus, I get a bit of workout
If it's only extended half-way it's a bit easier to work with.
Why is this a deal? Most of the 5 star reviews seem fake and the price with the discount seems on par with other sellers without discount.
This is cheap compared to regular prices at big box stores. I bought my 30 footer from Home Depot years ago. I've been waiting on a deal on brushes for a long time. I grabbed another shorter pole with a brush head I needed 2 weeks ago when this Amazon seller had a 50% off coupon. After someone found a rake head in this thread, I ordered it yesterday.

you may want to check walmart.com...a lot of this kind of stuff may sell for less on Walmart since they don't charge sellers 50% in fees like amazon does...

I have a long doca pole alredy from 6 or 7 years back. can the cleaning heads on this work on it?
