Nope . You pay $364 only to order it . They will pay you $25 per month for 12 months if you stay with ST at $65 month plan . So you will be paying $40 for that plan . This deal is same as straight talk website .

This is really only valuable for people that need the $60 plan or whatever. If you were on the $35 plan obviously the $25 upgrade becomes moot. I mean not including the discount on the phone. Honestly I'd probably still rather just get a used iPhone 13 or something for 200 bucks.
Do you know the difference between value vs price?

If I activate the phone then change the number over to my current phone will the one I bought still get unlocked after 60 days if it's off and not connected to the towers during this time?
Best practice is to left the ST sim inside the phone until the phone is unlocked, if you want to use the data you can use the phone as hotspot

My parents are visiting USA in June and would need 1 month of service. Can I buy now and activate the phone in June? Will the phone service that comes with this phone will work?

Should work. iirc you should have 1 year to activate it but don't quote me on that. Or you can just sign up for Visible 30 days trial for free if you want

Thanks for sharing. Is the activation deadline also one year bought from Straight Talk? I couldn't find anything regarding this online.

Straight Talk, Total Wireless and Tracfone all have the same policies - they're all MVNO's owned by Verizon.
I wouldn't recommend waiting that long - if you have any problems (like plan won't activate) it's likely going to be frustrating trying to deal with support (and there's a time limit for filing a CC chargeback).

Apologies if asked before - where do they say that the phone will unlock 60 days after being activated? I cannot seem to find this stated explicitly in the fine print

That is wrong. It has the coils for slow wireless charging, just not the magnets.

As for mmWave, that is typically used in large events / stadiums. You need unobstructed line of sight to tower. The area I live in has 5G C-band (still shows as 5G UC on my T-Mobile). Again, that is more for future proofing and large events, not so much for everyday connectivity.
Ah, thanks for clarification… a week of updates to find more about the phone.

FR1 C-band supported but not FR2 mmWave N258/N260/261

Also missing UltraWideband with the C1, so no precision finding of AirTags and possibly less accurate Tesla phone key (haven't seen any reviews but the older Apple Watch 5 series lacks UWB so cannot be used ) and lacking support for future Apple Car Keys that require UWB
