Then I read the comments, looked again and chuckled, but also it makes total sense (unlike most amazon brands).
NIC and GIGA are both appropriate for a network device. I have no problems with this.

obviously if you somehow runs OM cables or runs 10G Direct Attached Copper (DAC) in your house then you would be better off with that, but for most, as in 99% of target audience, this is cheaper.

Using two rj45 transverse in SFP+ ports, a lot of these cheap "$36" switches have, will increase the cost by about $55, potentially run into compatibility issues with network cards, and the most important: 10Gb RJ45 transceivers get very very hot, to a point where these cheap switches probably don't have enough cooling capacity to handle it.
