Great prices for 32GB ram for dual channel. Next the DDR6 coming in 3 years, i can't believe this will drop even more.

3600 is the sweet spot for ryzen 5000 series and cl18 is good enough. great deal for 32gb.

I'm running an AMD 5900X with some 3200 MHz CL22 RAM. Googling I see that I should expect somewhere between 1-10% overall improvement depending on how CPU constrained the application is. Not sure if it's worth the cost as the overall system is pretty old (yet still capable) at this point.

Would not recommend these personally. Ran a 4x16 setup (bought primarily because of being Samsung B Die for a reasonable price) on my gaming/productivity PC and all 4, as well as 2 replacement, sticks all failed for me. Thought at first it was my motherboard given the failure rate but I've been running Corsair dominator sticks in there for years after switching and have had zero issues.

Upgrade that mobo to PCI-e 4.0. Like a B550 minimum.

Thanks for pointing that out. That's been scrubbed from my post. My initial offer for $34 was instantly denied. My offer of $36 took one day to be accepted. Maybe someone could try $35? 😉

I'm not too surprised. It may have been a combination of the lower tier ram and a particular/picky motherboard. I always shy away from running 4 sticks because of that. They don't sometimes run as well as they should. Did you try it in a 2 stick configuration during troubleshooting? did you try underclocking it?

That's absurd. If you're investing money (and time) into a new motherboard, you should put that towards a more up to date socket and DDR5 support, which means all new memory and chip. For most people, the Ryzen 5700 is a perfectly capable CPU, and the B450 is fine. The ROI just isn't there to buy a decent B550 or X570 mobo for an aging processor.
