I have a pair of these. They are nice pliers, but keep in mind that they are 6" pliers. These are not going to work for plumbing or most car repair work. Standard vice-grip pliers are 10 inches. Here's picture of these pliers next to a pair of 10" pliers

I agree wholeheartedly. I am a plumber and use this for fixtures under a sink and other places that are tight binds. Also, my coworkers all have a small pair like this one in addition to a 6" adjustable wrench like this that we use in certain jobs: https://images.thdstatic.com/prod...64_600.jpg [thdstatic.com]
I do have small small adjustable as well and they see much more use than any of the large ones I have. Them and the cobras are the go to kit for hookups at fixtures.

The small ones are used great majority of the time as not much plumbing in modern homes have large fittings. Rare that you run into larger unless you are doing boilers and working with black and galvanized pipe. I also like smaller as you get a better feel and are less likely to damage something cross threading.

I would love a pair of cobra v jaw style with some kind of non mar or soft grip and use the adjutables when I get into that situation. I do find that even with the toothed v jaw with cobra style you can can grab and not mar much or very little as they do not slip like standard groove joints. You do not have to squeeze down as hard to grip and it minimizes marring.

Dennys vs Ruth Chris steak. Both will fill your belly but you'll enjoy the more expensive one alot more. If all you can afford is Dennys and your ok no need to upgrade. You dont know what you dont know.
You eat at Ruth Chris and consider yourself a snob? Absolutely hilarious! You try to convince you have class or taste yet show right up front that you have none. You only enjoy things when they think someone else can not afford them.

Thanks for that information but I have no idea what that has to do with these pliers. They are extremely nice for the price and will do all the Knipex can do. With pliers of this size even if you have money it is waste when they seldom or never get put to extremes you might need with lager pliers and where knipex quilty might come into play as a use factor.

I advise rich and poor and the less big headed to buy the Irwins and maybe give the difference to St. Judes or something. Much more classy and tasteful behaviour than crowing about your pliers like a child in the schoolyard with new lunchbox.

These are nice pliers. Been using them for min 10 years, they were literally giving them away at "PRO" counter of Lowes.

Yes, he's dismantled the Washington Post. Their new guidance is to only support "personal freedom", which is the oligarch code for get rid of any personal protections so that the oligarchs can do whatever they want.

Don't be such a size queen. 6" is plenty to get any job done.
I agree. Some dream of 6".
