Great price.

You should always leave a pull line in walls when you pull any new electrical, Cat6 or whatever.

Saves you, or the next person a ton of time.

When I built my last house, I put a one inch PVC pipe in the wall from the top plate down to an empty receptacle box with a blank plate on it. That way there's an easy way to run any wire for some future technology. It would be cool if it was a standard consideration. Very cheap and easy to do.

Silly question, would this be good for crabbing? Such as tying chicken to it.. lol But also serious question.

You could. It's definitely tough, and I don't think over every managed to break it. You have to cut it.

I just used some water line I had left over from plumbing in water, but it did serve as conduit. You are way wrong about empty conduit channels in interior walls being standard consideration in residential construction.

And here I am using the old wires to pull new wires like a chump
As long as you throw away the old wire, that's fine.

I've had to have work redone several times because a lazy tech pulled new wire using an existing wire and didn't also replace the existing wire.

Ethernet cable is fairly easy to damage. If you use it as a pull string, toss it afterwards.

$9 for pull string. $125 for the same length of cable. Pull string is cheaper.

You're going to have cuts and breaks.

If possible, use something biodegradable.

And no, you wouldn't want to use this stuff even if you don't care about that. It's stiff, barely spun at all, tends to separate, and isn't the easiest to tie secure knots in.

How do you use it? With a vacuum?
I would have assumed that you would put it where you might want to pull a cable through in the future, like during renovations or construction.
