Local inventory in the bay area for the base Y was around 37k in late 2023. Could be had for around 27k with the 2k state rebate and 7.5k federal. Not sure why they went up so much in price even with all the political turmoil. There will be more Tesla boycotting until the CEO turns his image around. Not to mention the start of vandalism of supercharger stations around the world.

Remember folks, Tesla owns all the dealerships and supercharger networks. ALL of them. Nothing is franchised so it's all Musk-central. Just sayin...

Am I the only one who thinks it's insane to subsidize one type of car but not another?

Why should lower middle class subsidize $7500 off a rich person's $50K electric car while our national deficit explodes.

A surgeon I know bought a $100,000 Tesla and got a rebate even though he's stinking rich. America has a huge debt to pay.

Edit: Hey downvoters, go check out the USdebtclock.org. We're nearing 37 TRILLION dollars in debt. The last thing we need to do is subsidize your car for you. Go pay for your own crap.

I feel sympathy for the family, but come on who is dumb enough to let a car drive for them at this stage in its infancy.

This is the thread for stocks?
no, but resell value is a factor when purchasing a car and nobody wants one of these right now

there are income limits (around 250k) to the tax credit. there are purchase price limits (around $70k) for the tax credit....basically your entire example is completely wrong

Look at car insurance before purchase. Most likely car insurance will increased. Also performance model y tires are different size from front n back.
