The second game got a tear out of me, the ending was gut-wrenching. Both are fantastic and well worth their cost.

Beautiful setting, but it's way too punishing even on "easy mode". I swear that some of the jumps need to be times down to the fraction of a second or you'll keep missing over and over.

I was sad when the game was over.
Note there are some challenging areas and figuring out where to go can be frustrating but yet in still I loved it and became addicted to it until I beat the game.
I didn't play the sequel....i.was afraid of the addiction. I will play it though....sometime.

If the difficulty options also included larger jump boxes and on the timed actions - slightly longer periods, then I probably wouldn't have dropped it after a few hours.
It could also be a 3D vs 2D world thing. I've never been good at the 2D Mario games, but have 100%'d a few of the 3D ones.
